I am one of those people who do not like to tart Internet browsers up too much. It means that I do not like browser add-ons which disturb my browsing sessions. One of such browser add-ons is MIXI.DJ Toolbar which I have downloaded from mixidh.ourtoolbar.com. Believe me or not, I did not like it because instead of Google.com, which had been my home page and search engine, I had to deal with search.conduit.com. It settled down on Firefox and Google chrome. Interestingly, I wanted to download it on my Internet Explorer first even though I do not use this browser very often, and I was surprised that the toolbar does not work on Internet Explorer yet!
Sorry but we’re not quite ready to support IE. We’re working on it!
Maybe some people managed to get it on their IE, but I didn’t.
The toolbar is attractive indeed; unfortunately, the toolbar is of no use. I tried to use the radio or the music player (however you call it), but It did not work. I did not let MIXI.DJ stay in my PC and removed right away after I had seen that I do not like the search results provided by the search engine search.conduit.com.
One more thing! It is bundled with TuneUp 2013; at least I was asked whether I want to install that application or not. If you have found that your Firefox or Chrome is affected by the toolbar and you do not remember installing it, try to remember whether you have installed some free program. The odds are that you did not notice some statements claiming that MIXI.DJ would be installed on your browser.
If you have landed on this blog post to find out how to remove MIXI.DJ Toolbar, I hope I will help you with my instructions. French-speaking readers can also look for the information on the toolbar HERE.

/ March 25, 2013My sister installed this program on my computer on the 16th. I don’t know what it is or what it did to my computer but now I cannot open up any type of link, attachment, seperate browser window, etc. Further, after trying to uninstall it, it rendered my computer dead for 2 days. It just now powered up finally. I have clicked on it over 3 dozen times to uninstall it, and it won’t do anything.

/ March 26, 2013Then try to reboot the computer in Safe Mode. After you press the Restart button, wait for a black screen with some info on your hardware to appear and start tapping the F8 key. You have to start doing so once that info screen loads. After that, go to Safe Mode with Networking and try to uninstall the toolbar. If this does not work, please let me know.

/ March 29, 2013I booted into safe mode. It still does not uninstall. It flashes for a half second like all other programs, as if it is going to uninstall, but it doesn’t.

/ March 31, 2013Have you tried scanning the PC in Safe Mode? It is possible that some additional malware is installed. When I downloaded and installed Mixi.DJ, I managed to uninstall it easily. If you cannot get rid of it is Safe Mode, then I recommend scanning the computer with a reliable tool.

/ April 2, 2013I’ve done that. I’ve done a restore. The only thing I have not done is reformat my computer which I cannot do. I’m not willing to lose 6 years of pictures, music, important documents and school work.
One thing I noticed is that this program is not compatible with IE. Which I am currently using IE.
This program has taken total control over my browser. I can’t even get into my student email account which is essential for my schooling. I no longer can open up PDFs and attachments. I’ve lost all of my favorites while trying to fix this problem. I have scanned my computer in and out of safe mode. There has been no issues with it until this program was installed vom my computer.

/ April 3, 2013I have a feeling that in addition to mixi.dj you have more harmful infections. If you do not want to remove the infections automatically by using a spyware removal tool, I suggest that you install SpyHunter, well, its free scanner. It will show every file’s location, so by following the path you will be able to remove those files/registry entries. To access Registry, click Start, then click Run and type regedit (Windows XP), on other operating systems, type regedit in the search box. Do not hesitate to scan the PC as you may get surprised at the results of the scan.

/ April 5, 2013I don’t have any harmful infections. I am not an a computer user who knows nothing about their computer. I have 3 antivi programs, Norton, McAfee, and AVG. I also have malware and adware removal programs and a registry cleaner that I use regularly. (daily). I have no problem uninstalling anything else, and I did not have a problem before this program was downloaded onto my computer. It sounds to me that this program itself is the problem. Please just send me the uninstall package so I can remove it.
Clearly you didn’t see my response above by saying I have already done a scan. Or perhaps I should send you a screen shot?
Good niff, just tell me how to remove the program beyong clicking “uinstall” which is common sense. Unless you yourself have no idea.

/ April 8, 2013First, I want to say that three anti-virus programs are not the best options as they may not be running properly at a time. To remove this nasty application which I have never expected to be so difficult to remove, I recommend using SpyHunter. Recently, it has been noticed that this program is highly appreciated by a number of computer users. But if you do not like it, you can remove it easily.
Download the scanner at http://www.pcthreat.com/parasitebyid-28322en.html or http://www.pcthreat.com/download-sph
